80s Trivia: Nitro, Laser and Gemini could be found on which 80s show?

The 80s were all about flash - everything from TV, movies, music, clothing, you name it, it was flashy and big.  Adjectives ruled the 80s, and aside from professional wrestling and other forms of flashy fiction, I like to think that you would be hard-pressed to find names like Nitro, Laser & Gemini anywhere else.  So, that leads to today's question, off of Pocket Trivia: 80s Trivia - Nitro, Laser and Gemini could be found on which 80s show? Is it Thundercats, Guts, Fun House or American Gladiators?

If you knew the answer correctly, odds are that you, like me, now have the American Gladiators theme song stuck in your head (do do do do do do....do do do do...okay, I'm not good at writing out music, you do better).

Thundercats was an 80s cartoon with some goofy names (Lion-o, Cheetara and  Tygra to name a few), but not these.  Guts was the Nickelodeon equivalent of American Gladiators ("Capture a glowing piece of the radical rock!"), but there were no gladiators, only pre-pubescent adolescents and awkward, forced high-fives.  Fun House was one of my favorites - it was a syndicated game-show that aired on a variety of stations and featured a fun house that had to be traversed for prizes.  They had cheerleaders (oh, did I have crushes on them when I was five), but no gladiators.

American Gladiators aired from 1990 - 1996 and featured amateur athletes competing against the Gladiators in a variety of physical contests.  Contestants would compete in a tournament format that went on throughout the season.  NBC tried bringing back the show in 2008, but it only lasted two seasons.

And now, because it is stuck in my head, here is the theme song!
